Stephen's Guitar Lessons
Guitar-Related (and Other Music-Related) Accessories
ALL THE DETAILS
These items are ONLY available to active SGL students in good standing. No exceptions!
I offer the best in guitar-related accessories, exclusively to active students in good standing (meaning the student has at least one upcoming scheduled and prepaid lesson on the calendar with Stephen's Guitar Lessons within the next 14 days), in two ways: one is through my "Essential Add-Ons" program, which is when a student purchases an 8-, 10-, or 12-week lessons package and then adds a "best in class" accessory (and gets a package discount in the process); and the other way is if a student purchases or orders anything that I can get from a manufacturer that I have a direct relationship with (which currently includes Dunlop, Stringjoy, Pig Hog, String Swing, Kaces, Reunion Blues, Rock-N-Roller multi-carts, Gravity guitar picks, Hal Leonard Publishing (including their distributed tech/instruments), Gator cases and stands, and Levy's guitar straps). More on the "other" way in a moment (see near the bottom of this page), but first some info about the "Essential Add-On" program.
Whether you are a new player or someone who has been playing for years, you may not have all of the accessories and other gear that you'll eventually need as a player—things like a capo, tuner, metronome, guitar strap, guitar stand, etc. And, if you have already obtained some or all of those accessories, are you sure that you found the best brand and type available? Well, I've done the research; I've put in the time and I've tested dozens and dozens of accessories, from all sorts of different manufacturers, and in countless styles and types. I've compared and contrasted them and tested them head-to-head, and I've found the best in each category based on quality, performance, usability, dependability, versatility (when applicable), and price. This is what I now offer, and at a great deal that's exclusively available to Stephen's Guitar Lessons students.
For the manufacturers noted above I am an authorized dealer, and for the other items I offer I've gone to the trouble of sourcing them at if not the best price, then a highly competitive price.
So as of now, any of my students that purchase a 10- or 12-week package of lessons will have the option to add an essential guitar accessory to that package for an additional $10 (those that purchase a 12-week package will have the option to purchase two items, or one premium item, for an additional $20 instead of $10). I have more than a dozen different items to choose from, I'll virtually always have them in stock, and they are all absolutely the best in their category, including:
- D'Addario DP0002 guitar peg winder/cutting tool and a Music Nomad cleaning brush
- clip-on tuner (Fender Flash, or Dunlop DTC2)
- D'Addario NS Tri-Action capo (black)
- one set of Stringjoy Broadways elec. guitar strings (in Classic Super Light or Classic Light gauge) and a Music Nomad polishing/cleaning cloth
- one set of Stringjoy Signatures elec. guitar strings (in Balanced Super Light or Balanced Light gauge) and a Music Nomad cleaning brush
- one set of Stringjoy Brights acous. guitar strings (in Balanced Super Light or Balanced Medium gauge) and a Music Nomad cleaning brush
- one set of Stringjoy Naturals acous. guitar strings (in Balanced Super Light or Balanced Light gauge) and a Music Nomad polishing/cleaning cloth
- String Swing CC01K or CC11K (oak or black metal) and a Music Nomad polishing/cleaning cloth
- Stringjoy natural guitar string conditioner, a Stringjoy cleaning cloth, and a Music Nomad cleaning brush
- MXR DCIX10 Pro Series Straight to Straight 10' Instrument Cable, and a Stringjoy string cleaning cloth
- Stephen's Guitar Lessons music folder, stuffed with music/tab and other goodies
- Stephen's Guitar Lessons guitar pick tin, with picks
- Stephen's Guitar Lessons instructional poster, featuring guitar scales and other info (your choice of 8 designs, 4 for right-handed players and 4 for left-handed players)
- Pig Hog Fat Foam guitar stand (black), and Music Nomad cleaning brush (premium—counts as two items)
- MXR DCIX20 Pro Series Straight to Straight 20' Instrument Cable and a set of Stringjoy Signatures (in Balanced Super Light or Balanced Light gauge) (premium—counts as two items)
- Korg MA-2 metronome (blue) and D'Addario DP0002 guitar peg winder/cutting tool (premium—counts as two items)
- Dunlop System 65 guitar string change kit (premium—counts as two items)
- EVH D-Tuna, in your choice of four finishes (special order only) (premium—counts as two items)
The music folder, guitar pick tin, and instructional poster will also be available to students who purchase an 8-week package (one item per package purchase), for an additional $12.
The specifics of this program, including the exact brand and model number of any item offered, and whether or not an item is offered, and the cost of any given item, are all subject to change without notice (but I pledge to only change things with this offer when the going rate of an item changes substantially, or when an item is no longer available, or some other extenuating circumstance beyond my control).
Here is how this will work, with the purchase of an add-on changing the cost of the package in this way: the total cost of the package plus the accessory will be equal to the package price plus $10 (or plus $20, if it's a 12-week package and the student is getting two regular items or one premium item). Out of that total amount paid (the package price + $10 or $20), the student will be purchasing the accessory they've chosen, at a competitive price plus sales tax (which I will explain and list in an email that will be sent out after the transaction is completed, or beforehand if you want to know specific details before you purchase); the actual price the client will then be paying for the package by itself will be the package price + $10 – the total price (with tax) of the accessory, which will in most cases be somewhere between $20-25 (the "counts as two" items are in the $40-45 range, and the formula there, to determine the actual package price, would be "the package price + $20 - the cost of the accessory").
So that means that with this deal you'll be getting the best stand/strings/tuner/etc around, at as good a price as you'll find anywhere, and then you'll also be getting a ~$10-15 discount off of the 10- or 12-week lessons package that you added the accessory to (students that get an accessory along with a 8-week package—and those choices are the guitar pick tin, an instructional poster, or a music folder—will ultimately save about $8 off the package, while 12-week lessons package purchasers will have the option to get a second accessory, or one of the "counts as two" items, for a grand total of the package price + $20, which means that they would be receiving a package discount of ~$20-30).
These accessories can be added on to any eligible package with no limitations other than what's been noted here. Online and in-person students can participate, but online students will need to arrange to come to my lessons studio to pick up any accessories sometime after they are purchased. If you decide within 30 days that the accessory is not for you, you can return it to me for a full refund (in the form of a credit on your next package) provided that the item is in like-new condition and in the original packaging, in resalable condition (please note that some items, like packs of strings, can't be returned if the packaging has been opened; if you have any questions about this policy, please ask before purchasing an add-on accessory). So you get a discount off of your lessons package, plus a "best in class" accessory (at a "best in town" price) that is as easy to obtain as attending your lessons—value, quality and convenience. How cool is that?
And then the "other" way that I sell accessories, besides as add-ons to some of the larger lessons packages? Well, for the manufacturers for which I am an authorized dealer (so that's Dunlop, Stringjoy, Pig Hog, String Swing, Kaces, Reunion Blues, Rock-N-Roller multi-carts, Gravity guitar picks, Hal Leonard Publishing (including their distributed instruments/gear), Gator cases and stands, and Levy's guitar straps), my active students in good standing will be able to purchase (or order, if I don't have it in stock—and most things I can get very quickly) any item currently in production from any of those manufacturers—and I'll be able to offer those items at some amazing prices. Talk to me about the details whenever you're in the market for some accessories or guitar pedals, and we'll make a plan!
What's an active student in good standing? That's someone who has attended at least one lesson with Stephen's Guitar Lessons, and has at least one additional lesson scheduled and paid for in the next 14 days.
Accessories are ONLY available to active SGL students in good standing, and ONLY through these two methods; they are not available to the public, and they are not available to be purchased through my merch store.
It's important to note that for the manufacturers that I am an authorized dealer for—so that's Dunlop/MXR/Cry Baby/Way Huge, Stringjoy, Pig Hog, String Swing, Kaces, Reunion Blues, Rock-N-Roller multi-carts, Gravity guitar picks, Hal Leonard Publishing (including their distributed instruments/gear), Gator cases and stands, and Levy's guitar straps—all products purchased through Stephen's Guitar Lessons will be brand new, fully packaged, first quality, and fully covered under any applicable manufacturer's warranty. Don't let the low prices fool you!Returns: If there is a problem with an item you've purchased from Stephen's Guitar Lessons, I'll make every effort to make it right. If the item is defective and it's within the warranty period, that will be up to the manufacturer to handle—but I'll provide whatever assistance you needi in a case like that. In the event that you just change your mind, or otherwise decide you don't want the item that you've purchased, I'll take it back within 30 days (of when you received the item initially) and give you a full or partial refund (any refund would be delivered to you within 14 days of me receiving the item back). A full refund will be given if the item is in brand-new condition and still in any original (unopened, if applicable) packaging; items that are in brand-new condition but not in the original/sealed (if applicable) packaging will qualify for a full refund less a 15% restocking fee; for items that show signs of use (whether or not it counts as "damage" or "normal wear" or anything in between) I'll make a more-than-fair offer to purchase it from you as a "used" item. Some items (like guitar strings, maintenance/cleaning products and items, software, and certain other types of items) cannot be returned at all once they have been opened; please ask about a specific item before you open the package, if you have any questions about returns! Refunds for items that were purchased as "new" will be given in the same payment method that they were made in.
Open Box/Used Items: From time to time I may have an "open box" or "used" option for you to choose from when purchasing accessories; whenever I have something in one of those categories that fits something a student is looking to purchase, I'll definitely give them the opportunity to choose to "re-home" a perfectly good (albeit not "brand new") product. Open box items will carry a 30-day warranty, while used items will carry a 7-day warranty (these warranties are provided solely by SGL; if an open-box product fails within 30 days of receipt of the item, or if a used item fails within 7 days of receipt of the item, I'll accept the item back and then credit the purchase price back to your account so you can use it on a future purchase from SGL—of accessories, lessons, or whatever—in the following 60 days). Outside of those specific warranties, which only cover product failures, used and open box items are not eligble for any refunds; they will also not be covered under any manufacturer's warranty that would have been applicable when they were new.Click here to return to the main lessons page
